Mombasa, Kenya: Health CS Hon. Aden Duale has emphasized that digitizing Kenyaโ€™s pharmaceutical sector is essential to eliminate counterfeits, boost transparency, and improve service delivery.

Addressing the 45th Annual PSK Conference in Mombasa on June 18, 2025, the CS urged pharmacists to embrace the Digital Health Superhighway, which features e-prescriptions, digital dispensing, real-time drug monitoring, and pharmacy integration into the national system.

He confirmed the transition to fully digital records and commended Mombasa Countyโ€™s leadership in digital health. Hon. Duale reiterated the governmentโ€™s commitment to local manufacturing, strong regulation, and digital-led pharmacovigilance.

โ€œDigitization is how we protect patients and restore trust in the pharmaceutical sector,โ€ he stated.
