Nairobi, 26 November 2025 – The Chairman of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), Dr. John Munyu, MBS, has reaffirmed the Boardโ€™s commitment to supporting the Ministry of Healthโ€™s agenda on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and positioning Kenya as a competitive hub for pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing.

He emphasised that the Board is committed to building a strong, effective regulatory authority capable of delivering high standards in medicines and vaccine regulation.

โ€œWe are determined and ready to deliver Maturity Level 3 by early next year. PPB will continue to support the Ministryโ€™s agenda, strengthen oversight at points of entry, and ensure Kenya becomes a regional hub for pharmaceutical manufacturing,โ€ Dr. Munyu stated.
