Nairobi, Kenya – The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) Chief Executive Officer, Dr. F. M. Siyoi, today signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), marking a major milestone in the government’s efforts to enhance trade facilitation and regulatory efficiency.

The agreement, finalized after a two-year collaboration involving 24 Partner Government Agencies (PGAs), aims to streamline sea cargo clearance processes, boost transparency, and promote coordinated service delivery in line with Kenya’s National Trade Facilitation Agenda and the World Trade Organization (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement.

The SLA sets out clear roles, timelines, and joint processes among the agencies, with a focus on improving accountability and operational efficiency at the ports.

Speaking at the signing, Dr. Siyoi welcomed the agreement, noting that the partnership will strengthen PPB’s role in ensuring access to quality, safe, and efficacious health products and technologies entering the country.

The KRA delegation was led by Ms. Winfred Kinyua, Assistant Manager, Customs and Border Control.
