Nairobi, Kenya – On May 17 the, the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) CEO, Dr. F. M. Siyoi, hosted a delegation from the World Bank following the launch of the Health Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Resilience (HEPRR) Program by Health Cabinet Secretary Nakhumicha S. Wafula on May 15.
The meeting focused on understanding the PPB’s mandate and the advancements it is making to enhance its regulatory capacities, with the goal of achieving the World Health Organizationโs Maturity Level 3. Discussions also explored potential collaborations to strengthen regulatory frameworks and address common challenges in the pharmaceutical sector.
Representatives from Sao Tome and Principe, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, IGAD, ECSA, and PPBโs Director of Corporate Services, Dr. Anthony Toroitich, and Director of Quality Control, Dr. Wanza Katatha, were present at the meeting.
