The event, graced by PPB Chief Executive Officer, Dr. F. M. Siyoi, underscored the imperative need for collaboration among stakeholders to thwart the circulation of unauthorized medical products, including narcotics and psychotropic substances. Dr. Siyoi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to combating drugs and substance abuse, highlighting PPB’s vigilant monitoring of illegal activities in the pharmaceutical sector.
The attendance included representatives from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Immigration Services, Anti-Narcotics Unit, National Intelligence Service, Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Kenya Airports Authority, General Post Office, Communications Authority of Kenya, and Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA).
This collaborative effort signifies a united front in the fight against illicit trade, aiming to ensure access to quality, safe, and efficacious health products for the Kenyan public.
