PPB CEO Participates in High-Level Health Sector Management Meeting

Nairobi, 8 June 2026 – Dr. Ahmed Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), joined Chief Executive Officers of Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs), Heads of Directorates, Divisions, and Units at a high-level Management Meeting chaired by Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni.
The meeting reviewed progress across the health sector, strengthened coordination among institutions, and aligned priorities for the 2026/27 Financial Year to support effective service delivery and implementation of key health programmes.
Participants also assessed Kenya’s preparedness for Ebola Virus Disease and other public health emergencies, with discussions focusing on surveillance systems, laboratory capacity, risk communication, and coordinated response mechanisms aimed at protecting public health and strengthening national health security.
The engagement underscored the importance of a coordinated, whole-of-government approach in advancing health sector priorities and enhancing preparedness for emerging public health threats.
