PPB and Kenya Healthcare Federation Strengthen Regulatory Collaboration

The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed, held a strategic meeting with Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Anne Musuva on 7th July 2026 to strengthen collaboration on key regulatory priorities within Kenya’s healthcare sector.

Discussions focused on import and export permits, product registration and re-registration processes, regulation of online pharmacies, and the regulatory framework for radiopharmaceuticals.

The engagement underscored the importance of sustained regulator–industry dialogue in addressing emerging issues and strengthening an efficient and transparent regulatory environment that supports the healthcare supply chain while safeguarding public health.

Dr. Mohamed reaffirmed PPB’s commitment to ensuring that only quality, safe and efficacious Health Products and Technologies (HPTs) are available in the Kenyan market.

PPB and KHF committed to continued dialogue and collaborative engagements to enhance understanding of regulatory requirements, address sector priorities and strengthen compliance for the benefit of patients and the wider healthcare sector.
