Brief description of the problem

Laboratory & Allied Limited is recalling batch 81647 of Amitrip tablets due to the breaking of the tablets into halves within the blister pack.

Action for healthcare professionals

Quarantine all remaining stock and stop further distribution, sale, issuing, or use of the above batches immediately. Await contact from the Laboratory and Allied Limited team to arrange the return.

Action for patients and caregivers

No further action is required by patients as this is a Retail/Hospital Pharmacy and Wholesaler/Distributor level recall. Patients should continue to take medicines from other batches of this product other than the impacted batch and as prescribed by your healthcare professional.
