Brief description of the problem

Laboratory & Allied Limited is recalling batches; 79887, 82172, 82173, and 82174 of Chlorpromazine 100mg tablets due to quality defect- cracking of tablets along the circumference almost separating into two halves.

Action for healthcare professionals

Quarantine all remaining stock and stop further distribution, sale, issuing or use of batch 79887, 82172, 82173, and 82174 immediately and contact Laboratory and Allied Limited team to arrange return.

Action for patients and caregivers

No further action is required by patients as this is a Retail/hospital Pharmacy and Wholesaler/Distributor level recall.

Patients should continue to take medicines from other batches of this product other than the impacted batches and as prescribed by your healthcare professional.
