PPB donates medicines to improve healthcare accessibility in Vihiga County

Vihiga, Kenya, March 28, 2023 – The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), Kenya’s drug regulatory authority, has made an impressive move towards improving healthcare accessibility in Vihiga County by donating drugs to two dispensaries. This donation aims to ensure the accessibility of quality and safe medicines for the public.
PPB’s Head of Western Region, Beatrice Obinge, handed over the drugs to Dr. Wilberforce Ottichilo, the Governor of Vihiga County, on behalf of the Board CEO, Dr. F. M. Siyoi. The governor expressed gratitude towards PPB and acknowledged that the donation would significantly enhance access to essential medicines for the residents of the two dispensaries.
“This is a laudable move towards improving the health and wellbeing of the local community. With this donation, residents will have easy access to quality and safe medicines, enabling them to receive timely and effective treatment for various illnesses,” said Ms Obinge.
We believe that collective efforts towards improving healthcare accessibility in Kenya will have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the people.
