Extension of Advertisement of Expert Committee on Regulation of Blood and Blood Products

The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) is Kenya’s National Medicines Regulatory Authority established in 1957 under the Pharmacy and Poisons Act, Chapter 244 of the Laws of Kenya. The Board regulates theManufacture and Trade in Medical Products and Health Technologies among other functions. The Board aims to optimize and strengthen regulatory systems for blood products and building technical capacity of the regulatory authority as stated in the PPB Act 244 and the WHA Resolution 63.12 which advices member states on the establishment of a stringent regulatory control in assuring the quality, safety and efficacy of blood products (Whole Blood, Components and Plasma derived Medicinal Products).
