Nairobi, October 8, 2024 – Dr. Anthony Toroitich, Director of Corporate Services at the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), chaired a meeting with representatives from Tonix Pharmaceuticals, USA, during their familiarization visit. The discussions centered on clinical research and market authorization for vaccines. Dr. Toroitich highlighted PPB’s role in ensuring that all clinical trials in Kenya meet high standards of safety, efficacy, and ethics. He also mentioned the Ministry of Health’s establishment of a Clinical Trials Technical Working Group aimed at enhancing Kenya’s appeal as a hub for clinical research.
